Hi Maria,

I wondered if you could help me by putting the above person 'Christi' in touch with me. I work for Glyndebourne Productions Ltd and, if their father is indeed Jerome Pruett, I would be very grateful for the contact. Glyndebourne are currently searching for past performers and Jerome was a principal performer in the 1985 Arabella.
I hope you can help, and I apologise for contacting you about this, however I cannot find any other relevant information where I may contact him on the internet, which is my main source.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Regards,
Libby Hill

I'm glad you liked this movie so much - my father is the tenor - Jerome Pruett and I still love hearing the music from the movie - and of course hearing him sing.

This comment kills me, Marla!... LOL!!!
It's ok: You can love Russell Crowe, and you can love Gladiator, and Cinderella Man too, and you can tell me about it. What would be fishy (and not remotely close to the magnitud of The Music Teacher, but similar in nature) is if some day you tell me out of nowhere something like:

"I just got a DVD of this show I LOVE: "The Contender". Have you ever seen it? Anyway, I just love that show, Maria. It's my favorite... You should watch it."

... You know: "The Contender"... that show I talked so much about last year, and insisted so much on you watching with me...

Wow. Remind me never to love Russell Crowe as much as you do. I didn't like him in Cinderella Man or Gladiator all gleaming with sweat. Please don't give me the trompa face.

Yep! Of course there was more...

Proof of it is the fact that I didn't make a big fuss out of the incident. Back when I was deep in the relationship I would have started a fight along the lines of "How dare you act like the Music Teacher is your thing?"... I would have given him my big trompa (probably ruining the concert), and he would have had to ask for forgiveness, and reassure me that TMT was mine.

But when this happened, my love for R was going so fast down the hill, that I just went "Oh, f*ck it! THAT'S IT... I'm done."

I second your recommendation of the movie and the music. Both quite tasty!

It's funny these little things that we call "tipping points." I once broke it off with a girl because she absolutely loved Ayn Rand. I mean how could I love someone who was uncritical of libertarianism? It's an interesting mental exercise, but not a wholly satisfying ideology. Anyway, I've said "I broke it off because she was a Randian" when the truth is that there was so much more.... the Randian thing was just a handy catch phrase for something more.
