Sleep. The whole fall asleep and wait for the head and body to go heavy and then lay them quietly in the crib. You have more patience than I do, so feel proud. I’m exhausted just reading about it!

Everything with Joaquin is going great except for those two last naps before his last feeding. Just a few days ago it only took him 3-4 songs to reach deep sleep. Then, he started ramping up his demands... Today I was prepared to dance 13 songs before attempting the move to the crib. On song #9 my hand shifted and moved his head 1cm, and that was it. Funny thing is he WANTS to fall asleep. He just can't. I guess it's the prize you pay for getting a more alert and fun baby... I still remember how a 3-year-old Jojo resisted her nap time too. Once you have them on a schedule and you're ready to pat yourself on the back, they're ready to move on. Those 5 naps eventually go to 1. Elise is struggling with the 2 naps to 1 nap now.
