I love my ORANGE sling. Seriously!... Joaquin on the other hand has changed his mind about it. But I'll keep trying to get him used to it. It's the only way to liberate myself and attempt to get him out of the house. We tried today (going out)... Good Lord!... Today I became that woman with the crying child who won't shut up at the grocery store. Don't even ask me about the ride back home :)

Wow. That thing really IS orange. Sorry. Said something like "medium brown" on the website. I guess that's the chance you take buying things from pictures! :)

Sleep. The whole fall asleep and wait for the head and body to go heavy and then lay them quietly in the crib. You have more patience than I do, so feel proud. I'm exhausted just reading about it!

Oh, I believe it!
Everything with Joaquin is going great except for those two last naps before his last feeding. Just a few days ago it only took him 3-4 songs to reach deep sleep. Then, he started ramping up his demands... Today I was prepared to dance 13 songs before attempting the move to the crib. On song #9 my hand shifted and moved his head 1cm, and that was it. Funny thing is he WANTS to fall asleep. He just can't. I guess it's the prize you pay for getting a more alert and fun baby... I still remember how a 3-year-old Jojo resisted her nap time too. Children hate to go to sleep, but their little bodies betray them.

Cute story. Believe it or not, I think that's one of the hardest things about the first year. Sleeping schedules. Once you have them on a schedule and you're ready to pat yourself on the back, they're ready to move on. Those 5 naps eventually go to 1. Elise is struggling with the 2 naps to 1 nap now.
