Home Videos
Life • February 21st, 2008Ahhh… The beauty of candid home videos…
Since Joaquin was born I’ve been shooting several short videos of him with my very old digital camera. The main purpose of these is to help us remember all the cute little things he does before he stops doing them, and then of course to share life action images of the bollo with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other trusted Joaquin lovers who live many miles away from us.
I expect the video collection to grow large over time, so a vlog section within this site seemed like the easiest way to post and keep track of videos. Unfortunately, we live at a time when everyone has to worry a bit about personal privacy and security. Therefore, many of these videos — specially those related to the little cutie — will have to be private (that is, reserved to family and other trusted individuals). So I apologize to other readers for the addition of these new private posts. You’ll be able to identify them by the label [P] prefacing the post title.
The secret password will be sent initially to our relatives, but if you are a friend and would like to watch the private videos, please let me know. If I trust you, I’ll give you the password…
You’ll find the vlog as a new “Video” category under my very rich “Life” category. I’ve started off with three old videos of Joaquin (all private), and one very dramatic video I created about Joey’s experience having his hand pins removed last year. This last one is public, so go ahead and watch the poor good man suffer.
Because I’m a new mother, you’ll probably understand that I no longer have the same amount of time to dedicate to perfection. So please, let me know if you find any glitches on the site after this new change. Also, if this post reads like it was written by a sleep–deprived person, it’s because it was in fact written by a new mom who shouldn’t be up at midnight while her baby finally sleeps…
