Cleaning the toilet
Web Design • March 21st, 2009This comes from my days at business school… Whenever it was time to study for final exams, I used to get this unstoppable urge to clean. I’d start with the bathroom, then with the rest of the apartment. It was a huge surprise when I learned that I wasn’t the only one with such crazy behavior. Turns out, the week before finals was the time when all of the apartments dwelled by Fuqua’s class of 1999 were the cleanest. Oh, procrastination…
So today I became suddenly stressed to realize what my life will be like over the next few weeks. I have tons of things to do, including a custom order for a t-shirt, planning, shopping, and organizing all the paraphernalia we must take for a coming trip with Joaquin, during which we we’ll also be attending a wedding, and on top of all that, I also need to prepare and file our taxes. Ughh.
So what do I do today?… I’m browsing my site for whatever reason, and suddenly I notice that my once beautiful blog has become a Turkish bazaar with the recent addition of graphical ads, and my Etsy mini. I feel it coming… Slowly taking over me… YES! Must clean up the blog. Cannot wait. Now! Now!… But you know, now I don’t have the luxury of time to redesign, make everything consistent, and then perfectly test all the changes in all the possible browsers. All I had time for was to “clean the toilet”. So that’s what I did: I tried to clean up a bit and make it less horrible. If you find a piece of poop laying on the floor, please let me know!
