Thank you soooo much for posting this!!! I decided I wanted to turn me and my daughters too short jeans into capris and thought there HAD to be a ton of info on-line to ‘do-it-yourself’, but yours is the only one I found! I LOVE that you can see the stitching on the knee, so cute! I plan to do a few pair like yours plus a few with some cute fabric on the cuff. Thanks again!

very creative! And, nothing wrong with the knee-seam; lots of pants use stitching for effects like that.

All right! I’ve edited the original post to include more images of the fake pant cuffs. I think the photos explain the process way better than everything I wrote about how to make them. And Devra can take a better look at the lining.

BTW, I had no knowledge of the ombre effect. I’m not even sure if it’s still fashionable (perhaps it isn’t?), but the fact that there is a stylish word describing the color “gradient” makes me feel even more of a pro with this alteration. He he.
