In the words of our volunteers...
"I wanted to uncover what purpose I had in Joaquin’s life. Little did I know that it was just as much about the purpose he had in mine [...] I have learned more about myself over the course of this volunteer time than any sage could ever teach me [...] He has taught me how silly are the things that we worry and ruminate about as we turn them into games in his world."
- Christy, 38. Mother, yogi and sales woman.
"I decided to volunteer to enhance my resume for graduate school [...] I never thought of the permanent change this program would make in my life [...] I have gained new family and friends, developed a unique love for Joaquin, and improved my perspective of obstacles I face in life [...] Joaquin has blossomed into a silly, caring, happy and loving person, and the exact same can be said for me."
- Eliza, 19. 2nd year college student.
