Piquitín

Mafe Maria: Personal stories by autism parent mentor, Maria Stultz
I have a very strong unbreakable habit of picking my fingers when I’m nervous — and some times, when I’m not. Joey calls me “Piquitín” (or Pickitin in English?), and he keeps trying to stop me, which is very annoying.
You should see my fingers now, after the weekend I spent learning about the horrible CPSIA and what it means to me and my sanity, and my dreams, and my everything… I mean, I know I’ve gone too far when my fingers hurt — gross!
Admittedly, this made me chuckle a little. …because I know how Joey is when you pick! So funny. I’m glad it doesn’t drive Chris batty!
so funny. Steve is a constant finger nail picker. It drives me insane! It’s the noise. Like dripping water.
Funny Mafe… We share the same bad habit. Although I mostly limit it to my right thumb. I think “it” has surrendered itself to the notion of ever looking like a normal finger again -ever again.
